3D MODEL
Using a Mavic 2 Zoom and Drone Deploy to generate the flight path paired with the orbit option the Mavic comes with approximately 400 photos with I was able to generate a 3D model of the Blinn Colleges historic building Old Main.
Results
Using Agisoft Metashape cloud Processing, I was able to combine the 1,900 photos to create several outputs such as a 3D model, Digital elevation model, and orthographic photo as a few of the outputs. with the low altitude used to capture the data combined with the high overlap of photos, I was able to get extremely high resolution orthomosaic, DEM, and 3D tiled model.
In the photo below, the level of detail even when zoomed shows the capabilities of the Mavic 3 enterprise is mapping situations
The screenshot below shows the detail maintained even when switching to the DEM. how the detail of the road is maintained as well as the boats and car with their depth information.
The image below is a side by side of the DEM and orthomosaic to show and highlight the detail the DEM is able to achieve, with the highlighted ares of both images showing how the depth information is at a high enough resolution to capture the ruts that cars have left on the road.
